Returning to nature to restart after the pandemic

Posted by Maria Cristina Chiulli on

Nature offers less tangible but even more crucial benefits to our lives. We realized this when, cooped up indoors for lockdown, we began to feel an almost physical need to walk through greenery and feel the sun's rays on our skin. We humans are a link in this web of life, on which we depend for everything: for the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe. Nature is important not only for our physical and mental well-being, but also for our society's ability to cope with global changes, health threats, and disasters. Nature is indispensable to us.

We ushered in the Decade for Sustainability by grappling with a pandemic that is making us aware of the links between our health and the health of ecosystems. As the economy reboots, we will need to avoid falling back and locking ourselves into old bad habits.

We can all strengthen our relationship with nature, even if we live in cities we can find an urban park where we can do physical activity to oxygenate and relax.

For your walks try our stylish hemp sneakers made in Italy,

for your yoga or pilates exercises try our natural cork yoga mat, to use at home or in the gym or even on the lawns.
