The UN General Assembly, aware that the pursuit of happiness is a fundamental goal of humanity, recognizing also a more inclusive approach, fair and balanced economic growth promoting sustainable development, poverty eradication, the happiness and well-being of all people, decides to proclaim International Day of Happiness on 20 March, invites all member states, United Nations system organizations, and other international and regional bodies, as well as civil society, including non-governmental organizations and individuals, to celebrate the International Day of Happiness appropriately, also through educational activities to increase public awareness.

Happiness is the natural condition of the human being. Daily living can be a source of stress to the point of making us forget our innate happiness. Meditation and Yoga practice is the best way to reconnect to one’s own happiness helping us to face our daily lives with deep awareness.
