International Day of Peace 21 September 2020

The International Day of Peace ("Peace Day") is observed around the world each year on 21 September. Established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution, the General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to “commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples.” Peace Day provides a globally shared date for all humanity to commit to Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace.

Celebrate the International Day of Peace by spreading compassion, kindness and hope in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic: we can shape peace together.

People in cities, communities and villages worldwide have engaged in the International Day of Peace in diverse and meaningful ways.

Look for Peace Day activities in your own community and around the world. https://internationaldayofpeace.org/get-involved/

Even if you can't join any group today, you can celebrate this day and every day by taking care of (y)our planet and (y)our health: adopt an eco friendly lifestyle, Say Yes to Life, Earth Thanks! 🌿
