How does it impact the environment?
🌿 One billion plastic toothbrushes with or without their plastic cases are thrown away every year in the US only, either growing landfills or finding their way to the sea, eaten by marine creatures that mistake them for food. Moreover, they are made of polypropylene plastic and nylon which are made of nonrenewable fossil fuels, with a high cost for the environment.
🌿 Bamboos are shrubby, evergreen, very vigorous plants, with remarkable characteristics that makes it one of the best substitutes to plastic and the products made with it are strong and compostable.

🌿 Ethically sourced bamboo.
🌿 These bamboo toothbrushes are natural, biodegradable and plastic free, just plant them in your garden. Try to reuse them for other tasks first, like cleaning your bathroom, computer, cooking implements, bike chains and more, or make them garden markers by planting them vertically, you can also write plant names on them. Before planting them, please remove the bristles with pliers, they are not compostable and should be recycled as plastic, as they are made of nylon. If you just throw a bamboo toothbrush into your garden, it might take as long as 5-10 years to fully break down; if buried horizontally in the soil, it will take around 3 years; using a home composter should take around 4-6 months depending on composition, but you can speed this up by breaking the toothbrush down into small pieces with a hammer or saw, while an industrial composter should break a toothbrush down in a few weeks as they are much hotter and more active than any home composter. If you don't have a garden, check your local garbage policy for wood.
🌿 The cardboard box is also recyclable and compostable.
