Walking is excellent to lose weight in the long term and reduce stress

Posted by Maria Cristina Chiulli on

Walking is one of the best systems we have to lose weight in the long term, even if physical activity should always be associated with a balanced diet. Walking is excellent for reducing stress, improving circulation and mobility, and increasing energy levels. In fact, several studies have revealed that outdoor sports improve mood, and simply being in contact with trees, or listening to the sound of birds, is of great help to people.

There is a specific 31-day program that allows you to lose weight by walking. It involves walking in intervals, that is, you have to alternate periods of light activity with others of more intense activity. The workouts last no more than 20-25 minutes, so anyone can do them at any time of the day when you have a free half hour. On off days you can still walk freely, stretch or do any other workout. During the workout you have to inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth, as recommended in any other cardio exercise, but also pull the navel towards the spine to engage the core (area of the body that includes abdominal muscles, para spinal muscles, pelvic floor muscles, buttocks and more).
Pay attention to your posture as well, your shoulders need to stay upright, so you don't curve forward while walking.

Try walking in our eco-friendly and cruelty-free hemp sneakers.
