Youth Cop Milano 28 September - 2 October, a global youth climate conference ahead of Cop 26 in Glasgow, Scotland, in November.

After striking for the climate on Friday, September 24, activists from the Fridays for Future movement, along with young people from all over the world, are gathered in Milan from today, September 28, until the 30th, for the Youth Cop, a global youth climate conference, ahead of Cop 26 in Glasgow, Scotland, in November.
Among them was Swedish activist Greta Thunberg. "We can no longer wait for empty and useless discussions, showcasing personalities who, while dyeing their communication green, continue to stand in the way of a fair ecological transition: it's time to really listen to our voices."
A group of climate activists from Fridays for Future, who gathered outside the convention center in Milan to ask for more "moments of discussion and creation of a plan to defeat the climate crisis", also gave their "greetings" to the works. Among them was Swedish activist Greta Thunberg.

"We can no longer wait for empty and useless discussions that showcase characters who while dyeing their communication green continue to obstruct a fair ecological transition: it's time to really listen to our voices. We can no longer go on with promises. The climate crisis is a symptom of the social crisis, of the crisis linked to inequalities, at a global level, which dates back to colonialism. A crisis based on the idea that some people are worth more than others and therefore should have the right to rob others of land and resources. Climate change is getting worse and worse. We can reverse this trend, but we need drastic reductions in emissions, reductions never seen before. We can no longer allow the powerful to decide what hope is. Hope is telling the truth, taking action, and hope always comes from the people. We want a secure future, we want climate justice. Now."

During Youth for Climate, four themes in particular will be addressed: firstly, the question of youth participation in the political decisions taken on climate change. Then the need to relaunch the world economy in a way that is compatible with the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, the need for greater involvement of non-governmental organizations in decision-making processes and the creation of a society aware of the risks linked to the climate crisis.

May the youth of the world unite in a great chain to save the Planet!
We can all contribute: adopt a sustainable lifestyle now, Say Yes to Life, Earth Thanks! 🌿
